Terms and Conditions

Last updated: June 6, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Treeada ("the Platform," "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Service.

Treeada is operated by 3-102-952804 SRL, Alajuela, Costa Rica. Also known as Naviram Global Tech. ("we," "us," "our"). These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including Maestros (content creators) and Students (content consumers).

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Naviram Global Tech. By creating an account, purchasing a course, or using any feature of the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Definitions

Throughout these Terms, the following definitions apply:

  • Maestro — A registered creator who publishes educational music content (courses, lessons, blogs) on the Platform.
  • Student — A registered user who purchases or receives access to Maestro-created content.
  • Journey — A structured course created by a Maestro, consisting of Topics, Lessons, and content (video, notation, practice exercises).
  • Subscription Plan — A recurring paid plan (Free, Pro, or Max) that grants Maestros access to Platform features and publishing capabilities.
  • Course Purchase — A one-time payment by a Student to gain lifetime access to a specific Journey.
  • Student Invite — A mechanism by which a Maestro grants a Student free access to one or more Journeys, with or without an expiration date.
  • Sale Season — A platform-wide promotional period during which participating Journeys are offered at a discounted price.
  • Content — Any material uploaded to the Platform, including videos, audio, sheet music (MusicXML), images, text, and practice exercises.
  • Platform Fee — The percentage retained by Treeada from each course purchase transaction.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the Service. Users between 13 and 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

To make or receive payments (purchase courses or earn revenue as a Maestro), you must be at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, or have the express consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

Account Responsibilities

When registering for an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share them with others
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

Each user may maintain one Maestro account and one Student account. The same email address cannot be used for both account types.

4. Maestro (Creator) Terms

Subscription Plans

Maestros access the Platform through tiered subscription plans. Each plan defines limits on the number of courses you may publish, lessons per course, and video features available:

  • Free — Limited to 1 course with up to 6 lessons. YouTube-hosted video only. No premium video hosting.
  • Pro — Up to 2 courses with up to 50 lessons each. Premium video hosting (up to 10 minutes per lesson).
  • Max — Up to 4 courses with up to 150 lessons each. Premium video hosting (up to 30 minutes per lesson).

Subscription fees are billed on a monthly or yearly basis, depending on the billing cycle you select. Yearly billing is offered at a discounted rate compared to monthly billing.

Content Approval

All Journeys submitted for publication go through an approval workflow. Our team reviews content for compliance with these Terms, copyright concerns, and quality standards. We reserve the right to approve, reject, or request modifications to any submitted content, with or without a stated reason.

Subscription Lapse

If your Maestro subscription payment fails, is canceled, or expires:

  • All of your published Journeys will be automatically unpublished and made unavailable to new students
  • Your account will be downgraded to the Free plan
  • Students who previously purchased your Journeys will retain their access

You may re-subscribe at any time to restore your publishing capabilities. Unpublished Journeys are not deleted and can be re-published after re-subscribing.

Payout Methods

Maestros must configure a valid payout method (Stripe Connect, PayPal, or Tilopay) to receive earnings from course sales. You are responsible for maintaining accurate payout information. Changes to payout email addresses may require identity verification and are subject to a security cooldown period.

Student Invites

Maestros may grant complimentary access to their Journeys through Student Invites. Invites may include an expiration date for acceptance and an optional access duration. Invited Students receive the same content access as paying Students. Maestros are solely responsible for managing their invites.

5. Student Terms

Course Access

When you purchase a Journey, you receive lifetime access to the content available in that Journey at the time of purchase and any future updates the Maestro may add. This access is personal, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable.

If you received access through a Student Invite, the Maestro may have set an access expiration period. Once expired, you will need to purchase the Journey or receive a new invite to regain access.

Content License

Purchasing a Journey grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to access and view the content for personal educational purposes only. You may not:

  • Download, copy, redistribute, or resell any content from a Journey
  • Share your account credentials with others to provide access to purchased content
  • Screen-record, rip, or otherwise capture video or audio content
  • Use the content for commercial purposes without written permission from the Maestro

6. Payments & Fees

Payment Processing

All payments are processed through third-party payment providers: Stripe, PayPal, or Tilopay. By making a payment, you agree to the terms of service of the applicable payment provider. Treeada does not store your full payment card details.

Platform Fees

Treeada retains a service fee from each course purchase transaction to cover platform operations, hosting, and support costs. The platform fee is deducted from the sale amount before the remainder is disbursed to the Maestro. The current platform fee rates are:

  • Stripe transactions: 8% platform fee
  • PayPal transactions: 6% platform fee

Additionally, payment processors charge their own transaction fees (typically 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction), which are separate from and in addition to Treeada's platform fee. Maestros are responsible for understanding the total fee structure.

We reserve the right to modify platform fee rates with at least 30 days' notice to active Maestros.

Maestro Subscription Billing

Maestro subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly). All subscription fees are in US Dollars (USD). Subscription renewals are automatic unless canceled before the end of the current billing period.

Currency

All prices on the Platform are displayed and charged in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise indicated. Currency conversion fees imposed by your bank or payment provider are your responsibility.

7. Refund Policy

Course Purchases (Students)

Because digital educational content is delivered immediately upon purchase, course sales are generally final and non-refundable. However, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase if:

  • The course content is substantially different from what was described or advertised
  • The course contains broken or inaccessible content that the Maestro has not resolved
  • You were charged in error (duplicate payment, technical glitch)

To request a refund, contact us at support@treeada.com with your purchase details. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Maestro Subscriptions

Maestro subscription fees are non-refundable for the current billing period. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

8. Promotions & Sale Seasons

Treeada may periodically run platform-wide promotional events ("Sale Seasons") offering discounts on participating Journeys. Sale Seasons are created and managed by Treeada administrators.

  • Maestros may choose to opt their Journeys in or out of each Sale Season
  • Discount percentages are set by Treeada and apply uniformly to all participating Journeys
  • Sale Seasons have defined start and end dates and activate/deactivate automatically
  • Only one Sale Season may be active at any given time
  • The discounted price is the price charged to the Student; platform fees are calculated on the discounted amount

Treeada reserves the right to create, modify, or cancel Sale Seasons at any time. Purchases made during a Sale Season are subject to the same refund policy as regular purchases. Sale prices cannot be retroactively applied to prior purchases.

9. Intellectual Property & Copyright

Your Content

When you upload content to Treeada, you retain ownership of your intellectual property rights. However, you grant Treeada a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely in connection with operating and promoting the Service. This license terminates when you delete your content or your account.

Copyright Compliance

Users must not upload, share, or distribute copyrighted content unless they have obtained the appropriate license or permission from the copyright holder.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Music, songs, and audio recordings
  • Sheet music and musical notations
  • Videos and video clips
  • Images, photographs, and graphics
  • Educational materials created by others

Content that violates copyright may be removed without notice. Repeat infringers may have their accounts suspended or terminated.

Permitted Content

You may upload content if:

  • You are the original creator of the content
  • You have obtained a valid license to use and distribute the content
  • The content is in the public domain
  • Your use qualifies as fair use under applicable law

Treeada's Intellectual Property

The Platform itself — including its design, logos, trademarks, software, and all non-user-generated content — is the property of Naviram Global Tech and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our written consent.

10. Content Moderation

To protect the integrity of the Platform and the rights of third parties, Treeada employs both automated and manual content moderation:

Automated Detection
  • Keyword flagging: Content (titles, descriptions) containing terms associated with potential copyright infringement may be automatically flagged for review.
  • Audio fingerprinting: We may use third-party audio identification services to scan uploaded video content for copyrighted music. Identified matches are logged and may trigger a review.
Review Process

Flagged content is reviewed by our team. If content is found to be in violation of these Terms or applicable copyright law, we may:

  • Remove or disable access to the infringing content
  • Notify the Maestro and request remediation
  • Issue a warning to the Maestro's account
  • Suspend or terminate the Maestro's account for repeated or egregious violations

Maestros whose content is flagged will be notified and may provide clarification or evidence of proper licensing within a reasonable timeframe.
